A: Symmetrical speed means that you get the same speed for uploading as you do for downloading.

Q: What does “dedicated bandwidth” mean?

A: DSL connections provide speeds “up to,” if several people are using the connection at the same time the “up to” speed capacity is reduced and the connection will be slower. Fireline Broadband provides dedicated bandwidth; this means if you subscribe to a 5 Mbps circuit you will never see speeds below 5 Mbps. It is a dedicated connection not “best effort.”

Q: How secure is Wireless Internet?

DSSS is a highly secure, FCC approved communication technique for the frequency in which we operate. Additional security is provided with advanced routing techniques, application layer encryption and firewalls.
