SIP trunks are handed off to VOIP enabled phones or VOIP enabled IADs (Internet Access Devices) that convert the VOIP trunk to standard analog voice service.

Primary Rate Interface (PRI)

Fireline Communications can synthesize PRI using a T1 Internet Access Device (IAD) to connect your legacy PBX saving you money on local loop charges and excessive billing rates. T1 PRI service utilized 23 channels for voice and a 24th channel for enhanced call functionality. Our VOIP based PRI circuits are easily integrated into legacy phone systems that support PRI service.

ISDN signaling over a T1 digital line, 23 channels of voice (B channels) and one D channel dedicated to call build-up/break-down, trunk selection, and Caller ID. It eliminates signal collision, enhances caller information, improves connection speed and allows aggregation of 64kb channels into larger data pipes.
