The Fireline Broadband Speed Test Engine is a network tool for testing estimated upload and download speeds. This is not a 100% authoritive way to comprehensively test your link performance. The best tool to use to test actual TCP and UDP throughput is a publicly available tool called iPerf.

Iperf was developed by NLANR/DAST as a modern alternative for measuring maximum TCP and UDP bandwidth performance. Iperf allows the tuning of various parameters and UDP characteristics.
