Downtown Los Angeles Dark Fiber and Wavelength Services
Downtown Los Angeles is where high-rise offices, courts, wholesale floors, and the carrier hotels share a few blocks. Buyers come here for private fiber because the switching district is here, including One Wilshire. Sitting near a carrier hotel is not the same as having Fireline fiber in your building.
Call 323-465-6772 with the building and the floor. The survey starts from that entry.
What Fireline offers downtown
Dark fiber lease and IRU
A lease is a term right to a fiber pair. An IRU is a longer right to use specified fibers and is quoted as a project. You provide the optics on both. Fireline maintains the physical cable.
Wavelength services
A downtown wavelength is a lit point-to-point channel, commonly 10 Gbps or 100 Gbps where the route supports it. Fireline supplies the optics. Use it between two downtown buildings, or between downtown and another Fireline site, when the survey can connect them.
Office internet is not this product
Downtown LA business internet is the managed symmetrical circuit, from 100 Mbps, on fiber or fixed wireless. Downtown LA business voice rides that circuit. A law firm can need both: internet for the office, and a wave to a data room.
Carrier hotels and 5900 Wilshire
Network teams ask about downtown because the interconnection facilities are downtown. Fireline’s own colocation is not in that switching district. It is at 5900 Wilshire in Mid-Wilshire, with fiber, DWDM/CWDM, and Ethernet options on that site. A private route from a downtown building to 5900 Wilshire is designed after the survey. It is not a default cross connect.
Dark fiber, wavelength, and dedicated internet
| Dark fiber | Wavelength | Dedicated internet | |
|---|---|---|---|
| What you get | A fiber pair you light | A lit channel on Fireline fiber | A managed IP circuit |
| Who supplies optics | You | Fireline | Fireline |
| Typical use | Private path between two sites | Private path, faster to turn up | Office internet, voice, and Wi-Fi |
| How it is delivered | Fiber route only | Fiber route only | Fiber where a route reaches the building, fixed wireless where it does not |
| Internet included | No | No | Yes |
A site survey confirms whether a fiber route can reach the building. Dark fiber and wavelengths are not sold over fixed wireless.
What downtown orders are trying to control
- A path into a named building, not a path to the neighborhood.
- Capacity that can grow on optics or on another wave.
- Traffic that never has to cross the public internet.
- A written answer when diverse entry is not available in that high-rise.
How a downtown quote works
- Send the high-rise, the floor, and the far end.
- Fireline says whether the build is a lease, an IRU, a wavelength, or dedicated internet.
- The survey deals with risers and meet-me rooms. The lobby address is not the fiber entry.
- Fireline builds and tests.
- Call 323-465-6772. Support is 24/7 at 877-FIRE-147.

Use the service address check or call 323-465-6772. If you already know both ends of the path, include them. Support after turn-up is 24/7 at 877-FIRE-147.
Fireline owns and operates its network. Prices and terms are on the quote. Nothing on this page means a specific building is already on-net.
