Santa Monica Dark Fiber and Wavelength Services

Santa Monica companies move reservations, edits, and guest traffic on the same streets, but those jobs do not share one circuit. Dark fiber and wavelengths are private paths between two places. Office internet, phones, and guest Wi-Fi stay on a dedicated Fireline circuit.

Where a fiber route can reach the building, Fireline quotes a leased pair, an IRU, or a lit wavelength. A site survey confirms the path. Fixed wireless is not a stand-in for dark fiber. Call 323-465-6772.

What Fireline offers in Santa Monica

Dark fiber lease

A lease is a monthly right to use a fiber pair between two Santa Monica endpoints, or from Santa Monica to another Fireline location, for a stated term. You light the fiber with your own optics. Fireline maintains the cable.

IRU

An IRU is a long-term right to use specified fibers. It is priced more like a capital project than a short lease. The term, the route, and the price are on the quote. Fireline does not publish a standard IRU length.

Wavelength services

A wavelength is a lit channel on Fireline fiber. Fireline supplies the optics and hands off a private point-to-point circuit, commonly at 10 Gbps or 100 Gbps where the route supports it. You do not buy the whole pair. Higher speeds are quoted only when the fiber and the optics support them.

How this differs from Santa Monica business internet

Santa Monica business internet is a managed, symmetrical IP circuit. Fiber is used where a route reaches the building, and Fireline fixed wireless is used where it does not. Plans start at 100 Mbps symmetrical. A wave or a dark pair does not include internet access unless you add that circuit.

Where a private path fits in Santa Monica

Santa Monica, in the Westside, mixes beach hotels, production work, and tech offices from the coast to Bergamot and the corridors along Olympic and Colorado. Guest Wi-Fi at a hotel belongs on dedicated internet. A team moving camera files between two suites, or tying a Santa Monica office to a data room, is the dark-fiber conversation.

Fireline colocation is at 5900 Wilshire in Los Angeles, not in Santa Monica. A private route from a Santa Monica building to that facility is a survey question. This page does not claim the building is already on-net.

A site survey confirms whether a fiber route can reach the building. Dark fiber and wavelengths are not sold over fixed wireless.

What Santa Monica buyers are usually protecting

  • A pair or a wave that is not shared with the suite next door.
  • Room to raise capacity by changing optics, or by ordering another wave, without a new street build.
  • A point-to-point path that does not cross the public internet.
  • A second route when the survey can find one. The 99.99% figure used for Fireline internet is a target, not a guarantee, and it is not a dark-fiber SLA.

How a Santa Monica quote works

  1. Send the address, and the far end if you know it, through the service address check or by calling 323-465-6772.
  2. Fireline tells you whether the fit is a lease, an IRU, a wavelength, or dedicated internet.
  3. A site survey confirms the fiber entry and whether construction is required.
  4. Fireline builds and tests the path. You install optics on dark fiber. Fireline lights a wavelength.
  5. Support is 24/7 at 877-FIRE-147.

Ask for a Santa Monica fiber quote

Use the service address check or call 323-465-6772. If you already know both ends of the path, include them. Support after turn-up is 24/7 at 877-FIRE-147.

Fireline owns and operates its network. Prices and terms are on the quote. Nothing on this page means a specific building is already on-net.
